During summer, the temperature inside the animals’ houses can
become too hot. And the most common method to reduce this
temperature is: Evaporative Cooling System.
The most common way of accomplishing evaporative cooling is with
fan and pad-cooling system.
Fan and pad systems consist of exhaust fans on one end of the
house and in a pump, which make circulating the water through and
over a porous pad.
The most parameter which induces a reduction of the pad cooling
system activity is dirts. The loss of efficiency is due to clogging from
impurities in the water, algae growth and calcium deposits.
Pad coolings of 4-years old, that never have been cleaned, may be
operating at only 50% of effectiveness. Therefore the cleaning of the
pads is the best way to obtain better production parameter.

Direction for use

For Re-Circulating Pads:

– Drain sump storage tank and refill with fresh water.

– Remove the screen from the inlet to the pump.

– Add a KENO® PAD solution at a rate of 1% to the sump storage tank.

– Turn on the sump during at least one hour to wet and soak pad.

– When entire pad is soaked, shut off the pump.

– Rinse pad from top to bottom with fresh water using low pressure.

– After cleaning pad is complete, drain and rinse sump storage tank.

For Spraying on Pads:

– Wet pads thoroughly.

– Spray KENO® PAD at 2%. Each section of the pad has to receive the mixture.

– The solution should remain on the pad at least 20 min.

– Rinse the pad with pressure from the top to the bottom.
